A Ford remembrance [from Alex Ross]

Until today I had been immune to Ford nostalgia, but this story, about how the late president became friends with the gay couple who renovated his childhood home, made me melt.

It’s interesting how two presidents who didn’t look so good when in office are now seen as really good guys–Carter and Ford. Looking back, I can understand how their virtues escaped greater recognition while in office. I’m so glad you brought the Ford story onto your blog–it’s endearing and refreshingly human.
