Stephanie Hughes presents a concert given by the baritone Thomas Quasthoff with pianist Charles Spencer at Wigmore Hall last year. They perform one of the great song cycles – Die Schöne Müllerin by Schubert, which tells the story of a miller boy’s obsession with the mill owner’s daughter.

Thomas Quasthoff offers his thoughts on the cycle, and Schubert’s vocal writing.
