FILMING of a new Inspector Rebus series has begun with Ken Stott playing Ian Rankin’s grizzled detective. Edinburgh-born Stott will be playing the hard-drinking Rebus, whose unconventional policing methods are set against the backdrop of the Capital’s criminal underbelly.

Rankin is one of my most favorite Mystery writers… and its good to hear that they are replacing Hannah (who was much too wimpy although an eyeful to look at) for the role of Rebus.  Too bad that they cant refilm the series – oh well.
